The majority of housing in the city is in the form of 5-story buildings with narrow staricases and no elevators. "How," you may ask, "did they get the grand pianos up to top floor?" Well, all the buildings come with a overhanging roof beam to which you can attach a block and tackle.

At one point in the city's history, there was a shortage of housing. This was remedied somewhat with the legalization of houseboats as places or residence. They still exist today.

Not all are as lovely as these nor do all come with four legged dust-mops.
