Well, sorry! Tourists are not allowed to take pictures of the prostitutes displaying themselves in the windows. On the other hand, there are no regulations regarding the photography of public works projects.

One thing that has always tickled me is the fact that the Dutch use the canals to haul in supplies and heavy equipment. Here you see a barge used as a parking lot and a platform for a generator, but you could just as easily see it loaded with sand and gravel, or a back-hoe, or a crane.

The thing that struck me here was the shallowness of the canal, and the fact that the brick walls that line the canals are constructed, by laying the brick first, and then pouring the concrete second. I guess it saves a little on the costs of forms.
